The much anticipated Civil 3D 2012 Service Pack 1 has been released. You can download it from here.
It’s great to have this service pack, especially since it contains all the fixes from AutoCAD 2012 Service Pack 1 and AutoCAD Map 3D sp1. If you’ve been using Civil 3D 2012 and the little bugs and issues have been bothering you, then you will probably want to download it as soon as possible.
While 2012 has been the most solid out-of-the-box release of Civil 3D in my experience, it never hurts to have a little house cleaning. I’m certainly not going to miss those lingering extended tooltips cluttering up my screen when I hover over the ribbon too long. I also look forward to going back to the normal TEXT editors now that the infamous text editing bug is apparently resolved. For those of you waiting to implement 2012, now’s the time.
