AutoCAD 2019 is out and there are some pretty cool new features.
A huge new feature for subscribers in 2019 is the addition of Specialized Toolsets. A subscription now includes Mechanical, Architectural, Electrical, Map 3D, MEP, Plant 3D, and Raster Design toolsets! If you’ve been around for a while you might know them as standalone “verticals” but now they’re a part of the package for AutoCAD subscribers!
AutoCAD Web and Mobile Apps
Autodesk has been working behind the scenes to make big changes to the core engine of AutoCAD. This year we’re seeing results with the introduction of the Mobile and Web versions of AutoCAD, built on the same familiar engine as the desktop product. You can choose to save files to a central cloud location and then access them from anywhere at web.autocad.com, or download them onto a mobile device with the AutoCAD Mobile APP. Now you can take AutoCAD with your everywhere you go!
One of the biggest new features this year is DWG Compare, which allows you to compare two version of the same drawing to see what’s different between them and automatically create rev clouds. Other enhancements include Shared Views for cloud based collaboration, and easy insertion of named views on layouts.
